Kids Invent! Training Programs

Kids Invent! training can be a professional life-changing experience. It opens minds to a better way to teach. Based on our interviews with the world's greatest inventors and on our work with thousands of teachers and even more kids, we have crafted the Kids Invent! approach to be most effective in engaging and holding attention, and inspiring learning.

You can run Kids Invent! programs without training, but we find that without training many people apply our activities as if they were teaching in a traditional classroom. They are great activities, but only if you present them focused on the learner and focused on arousing his and her creativity. That is the magic we add to the learning experience.

The point is that people learn when we engage their creativity and critical thinking skills and traditional teaching doesn't do that. Our training shifts paradigms and changes content delivery.

We train teachers around the world in the methods of inventing to learning – the application of creativity to teaching. To date we've trained teachers in 24 states and 19 countries on three continents. Teachers routinely report that our training is the best or one of the best training experiences they have enjoyed. Routinely, we are invited back.

Options
If you are located distant from our trainers on the US West Coast, please consider multiple training days in one week. That makes our trip to your location more cost effective for you and us. You can invite local teachers, home school parents, and educators from non-profit organizations to participate in day-long workshops in creative, hands-on science or in one of the other topics listed below. By charging for in-service training, you can underwrite some or all of the costs. College credit or clock hours are available from California State University; Fresno (requires a minimum of two days of training and payment of a processing fee).

Fees
Training is provided free of charge at the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Fresno, California for our Master Partners. Training at your location includes economy airfare, ground transportation, lodging, and a daily or weekly fee. The fee schedule is:

First day: $1,200
Two consecutive days: $2,200
Three consecutive days: $3,200
Four consecutive days: $4,100
Five consecutive days: $4,800.

Schedule
During peak seasons we are quite busy, so contact us as early as you can. Once we fix dates for your training we will ask you to pay a deposit that covers our out of pocket fees (airline reservations, etc.). Fee payment for the training is due on the first day.
